Growing one’s business is a mantra for most business owners. But growth uses capital. A growing business does not often have surplus funds to pay out to its owners. If you have determined that exit is the right strategy and, further, have determined that the potential sales price for your type of business is not attractive, then focusing the business goal on creating surplus cash, cash that can be taken out of the business, needs to become the focus of business activity. I realize I may be starting to sound a bit like a broken record.
It takes a decision and it takes commitment to that decision to be effective.
